Another Great Opportunity!

JCFA has been selected to apply for the AT&T Aspire Local High School Impact Initiative focused on high school success and college and career readiness programs that are consistent with AT&T’s commitment to support local organizations that are delivering results that help reduce the dropout rates in their communities.  Excited by the prospect of partnering with AT&T, JCFA has submitted a funding application requesting $300,000.00 to support the expansion of services provided by JCFA to students in Jefferson Parish.  AT&T will announce funding awards in June, and JCFA looks forward to this potential opportunity.

Jefferson Chamber Foundation Academy is sailing through the 2011/12 school year, and  looking forward to the 2012/13 school year beginning on July 1, 2012.  Students interested in applying should visit JCFA, Monday -Friday, 9:00 AM-12:30 PM to pick up an application packet and tour the campus.  

JCFA is located on Delgado’s Technical Division Campus, located at 475 Manhattan Blvd., in Harvey and is focused on providing youth in Jefferson Parish with an innovative way to earn a traditional high school diploma.  Jefferson Chamber Foundation Academy provides students with a self-paced, computer based curriculum, in a warm, friendly enviornment.  Students are provided with the opportunity to work at their own pace on Carnegie credit courses to earn their diploma while having access to dual enrollment career skills courses through Delgado Community and Technical College.

Enrollment is limited to Jefferson Parish residents.  Students meeting the admissions requirements are encouraged to apply.
